Research standards

Editorial policy

Our purpose is to help small US plumbing and electrical businesses make a defensible software decision using operational fit—not popularity or vendor pressure.

Effective 1 September 2026

How products are evaluated

We compare products across trade fit, residential and commercial use, team size, field operation, workflow coverage, operational priorities, accounting connections, budget, growth path and implementation weight.

The matcher returns three distinct paths: the best fit now, a leaner option and a growth option. This is a structured shortlist, not a guarantee that a product will suit every business.

Sources and verification

We prioritize official vendor pricing, product, integration, contract and partner materials. When pricing is not public, we label it as custom quote rather than estimating a price. Visitors are directed to verify current terms in writing.

Commercial independence

Affiliate or referral availability never changes the ranking model. Products without a commercial relationship remain eligible for every recommendation position. See the affiliate disclosure for the full policy.

Updates and corrections

Material product data is date-stamped on the site and reviewed as the catalog develops. If verified information is outdated or incorrect, we correct the relevant product data and reassess any affected comparison.

No vendor is promised advance review, approval rights or removal of accurate criticism.
